First Story: "Shadow Glass Plot" (sign in)

Now, there are eight characters created for the main plot, only one of them is taken and it's Brianna Mareel which is me ;D you can take the other characters, I have defined personalities for each of them but tell me what impression you get,how do you imagine the character....as for the main character Sean Flameheart I need him to be like this:

Sean is not a very outgoing person and he's constantly doubting he can get things done and gets frustrated and wants to be more than what he already is and sees the fact that he's stuck in Crysta protecting Brianna as a chance to make something of himself, but old habbits die hard so he's constantly imagining he's going to fail.

Brianna is more outgoing and sure of herself and she's the one who helps Sean to keep going and gives him the confidence he needs, ultimately they will end up together.

I made Sean this way because I'm tired of seeing heroes be super guys that are just strong and want to whoop everything because they can. I want a little more backbone to the story, make the characters a little more human like any normal guy or girl. So if you think you're up for it, try to give me a sample of what you think Sean is thinking about his situation: being stuck in Crysta thousands of years after his time, and now selected to protect a beautiful priestess from something like Bragna. If not then just tell me if you can do it


“Shadow Glass”

Story.-
A great war was unleashed between the seven kingdoms of the World of Nya. Zetegenia, being the most powerful of all, made alliances with Crystalaria and Arkya to battle against Winglya, Woodland and Rourge. Only one kingdom kept out of the conflict, Draconia.

The two empires of the land, Harak-Sepu, Empire of Men, and Atlantia, empire of Technology watched as the kingdoms fought each other over petty differences.

On the battlefield an ancient structure was found, the Allied forces of Zetegenia pushed the Allied forces of Winglya inside the structure. Using their weapons of mass destruction, the Zetegenians broke a seal in the structure releasing something terrible. It was an ancient creature called Bragna who was imprisoned there by people who had been forgotten through time. Bragna started to cause devastation and chaos all over Nya. All the kingdoms were united once more to fight Bragna but it was too late.

Zetegenia was totally destroyed. During its destruction Bragna killed everyone it found, no one ever survived once it went for them…no one, except “him”.

Sean Flameheart was his name, he found himself on the outskirts of an island named Crysta. Though he ignored how he got there he made a most interesting discovery he was now two thousand years ahead of his time. Sean meets Brianna Mareel who has been recently ordained priestess summoner of the Phoenix Temple and she along with her fellow priests are protected by the Phoenix Legionnaires. When he is introduced to the Legionnaires by Kilik, he notices they use Plasma-staffs like he used to in the Zetegenian army, he learns that only the Legionaires are allowed to use such weapons and when he is asked to practice he easily beat all his opponents and they all complimented him on his combat style, though he knew that back in his time he wasn’t one of the best but definitely top 100. Kilik told him about how the spirit of Phoenix watched over them and that Brianna was blessed with the power to call on it whenever trouble arose and during a celebration Brianna chooses Sean as her main bodyguard. After this the adventure begins…

About the Kingdoms:

Zetegenia was a kingdom were all races and species lived in harmony, it was a plac were humans and other races had gathered and they had prospered into a huge and rich city and society.

Crystalaria.- Crystalaria was home to humans and dwarves who had parted from Zetegenia because of the rythm of life, they wanted more calm and peace, so they went to an island they called Crysta.

Arkya.- Home of warriors, ninja and samurai of all species but mostly humans.

Rourge.- Magical Kingdom of splendor in the magical arts, those with the ability to study magic become wizards or summoners or even psioners (Able to make things happen with their minds).

Woodland.- Home of the Elves, peaceful but fearsome warriors when they decide to act. Their kingdom lies deep in the forest and it has many sublevels and upperlevels, it is divided in districts.

Winglya.- A race never liked by many and often discriminated or seen as unpure were the half-elves. Half human-elves or half human-atlantians, or even half elves-atlantians made their kingdom in the sky, a floating fortress supported by the technology of the atlantians. As a curious fact, Winglyans have wings like the Atlantians.

Draconia.- People of the Dragons, blessed by Ivathar, golden god dragon of twelve wings, with the ability to harness the power of the dragons and even transform into them, depending on the guardian sphere of the Draconian person's family.

Empires:

Harak-Sepu.- Empire of Men, ruled by Emperor Craig Doom. The largest empire and the most powerful, they had slaved the Atlantians aquiring their technology and almost causing the extinction of the race. Now they stay behind the scenes plotting to take over the world as the kingdoms fight each other, but with Bragna coming, their plans are on hold.

Atlantia.- Empire of technological wonder, home of the winged people, Atlantia like Zetegenia never sleeps, always working on new things, the lights of Atlantia and Zetegenia are visible from very far away.

want me to give you an example for first person....Why am i here? i cant protect this girl. I want to but what if i fail. If i can protect her I...wont my friends be proud when i get back. Who am i kidding, i fail at everything else so what makes me think that i can succeed at this.

Lin Cloud is a young, struggling girl, wanting to give peace to the world and choose the role of an ambassador- with not much luck on her side. As a being from a race discriminated throughout Nya, she had a tough time, almost loosing her somewhat naive enthusiasm and idealism.
She now stays at the Phoenix temple, trying desperately to solve some major theological issues between the priests there and the Winglyan's priests at home.

Appereance: A young girl, beautiful, athleltic, with short, always somewhat tousled hair colored a bluish-black. Small, green eyes, and a friendly, somewhat youngish face. He wings are grey feathered, with the characteristic red feathers at the edges, which are a symbol of her paticiular sub-race, the Day-Wings.

I'm supposed to do appearance too....so i guess sean should be an average sized male af around age 18. he was tall, about 6'3". he was semi muscaular, not body builder type but still pretty strong. He liked to wear dark clothes and((if this is medievil) wore clothes similar to Aragorn's ranger uniiform, he had dark brown hair, about medium length, maybe down to his ears. His eyes were a very bright shade of green and he had tan skin.

I'll play the part of Ryan Vilmer of Arkya. What is his personality like? Or is he a character that I can mostly create?

Ryan can be either a ninja, samurai or freelance warrior because he is from Arkya. But you can create his personality and past, just remember that ninjas and samurais have a code of honor they must follow so they are not bad in nature and cannot be, freelance warriors don't have code so they can be whatever they want, they are good if their employer is good and bad if their employer is bad...so pick one and feel free to post his past here

Ryan Vilmer was once a member of a group that had become famous all across Nya; he was a Lieutenant in the Arkyan Scarlet Guard.
Ryan actually lost his position and reputation in Arkya right at the beginning of the Third Border War. Ryan, along with many other members of the Scarlet Guard, was opposed to the war. Arkya couldn't allow anyone who was opposed to the war lead part of their army through it. Ryan and all the others who opposed the war were put into one unit and ordered to attack a Winglya held fortress on the border. They were given nothing for the attack but their normal weapons, they were given no siege weapons of any kind to use in the attack.

Ryan and the others took the fort, but at a tremendous loss. Arkya's king had planned on all of them to be wiped out in the battle, so when he received news of their victory he sent half of the Northern army to attack the traitors. Only Ryan and a few other members of the Scarlet Guard survived the attack, they fled the country and sat out the rest of the war in the mountains of Draconia.

After the war the remaining Scarlet Guard all joined under one of their commanders, and Ryan join him as well. The Guard's allegiance no longer layed with Arkya, so now they roam Nya searching for their place in the new land. Many people call them bandits and scoundrels, but if they knew what the Scarlet Guard had done for them they would not complain. The Scarlet Guard is not the bandits, no they have destroyed many of the bandit groups across Nya. Many former soldiers of all the countries turned to theiving and piracy after the war; the war devastated them and their homelands so they turned towards new ways to survive.

Ryan Vilmer is 6'1'' and weighs 230lbs, he is of average build for a Scarlet Guard, which means he has met the fitness requirments and other things, so he is muscular enough to wear armor and wield the weapons of Arkya. He has shoulder length brown hair and blue eyes. His uniform is well known, the scarlet and black uniform of Arkya's Scarlet Guard. Ryan is very loyal to causes and his country, but he also has a mind of his own. Very few times before he left Arkya did he ever question orders, but the Scarlet Guard taught him many things: honor, loyalty, justice, and to decern for himself if something was right or wrong.

Really good Ethin, I'm going to assume that the war you're talking about is another since the one Sean was in happened a couple of millenia before he meets you guys, he was the only one who got sort of transported through time

Oops! *grins sheepishly* Sorry forgot about the time part, I might change my story a little, because I was talking about the big war.

Something else I was wondering about was if you or me (I'd really like to!) could make a basic map of Nya, even if its just on paint or something.

This work is quite impressive though you gotta stop taking names of kigdoms from my invented stories and putting them on yours sis otherwise my books will loose their flare j/k sis hope this story prospers)
