Alright everyone here loves Star Wars but let's have a view on the Lord of the Rings. I for one find the quest of Frodo Baggins something to exprience over and over both as a book and a movie. Everything about the Lord of the Rings is so cool...to me. I like the Nazgûl mostly, the Ringwraiths, once former kings of men. The Witch-King is the coolest. Too bad about his death. I wanted a Gandalf vs. the Witch-King fight to happen. Saruman the White is by far my favorite character (excluding Faramir) mainly because he uses his voice to get what he wants and isn't afraid to get his hands dirty. And commanding an Uruk-hai army sounds pretty cool too from his fortress of Isengard. Judgment Hall has a new section based on the Lord of the Rings. All three ages.

I love everything about LotR and I have been recently reading the Silmarillion. I love the characters but mostly I like Sam a lot and Legolas, and I have to say Aragorn and Gandalf too. Eowyn is one of my favorites and of course Arwen, I never get tired of watching the movies and I have read the books believe it or not 7 times...lol

How are you liking the Silmarillion? I enjoy it because it focuses on a wider time period then the Hobbit or the Lord of the Rings did. Plus it gives you a more in depth look to the Elves, Dwarves, Balrogs, and even Sauron and the Wizards.

Yeah I like the whole thing with Iluvithar(sp?) and Melkor and the valar and all the stuff that gave origin tothe third age. Melkor being the first dark lord and all it's so great Tolkien was simply a genious.

Melkor (I believe) would be considered the Satan of Middle-Earth. The Balrogs were Maia spirits who followed Morgoth instead of the Vala. Same as with Satan and the devils. The Devils were angels who followed Satan instead of God.
