Cool, sounds like an interesting place to live. I live in boring old St. Louis, not much here except "the Arch" or the Cardinals, but it's home nonetheless. ;D

I'm part Danish (hence the last name Liddbergen) and part British too, though I still can't manage that London accent. Btw, I didn't know there was a New York accent, must get lost in all translations of series like CSI, Criminal Intent and stuff. (That is, CSI:NY of course... )

Well, since we are on the topic of ethnicities, I'm half-'American' (traced back to Britain, but no one really bothers with that) and the other half is Sri Lankan Tamil. So, I'd call myself 'Tamil American'. Makes it sound like I'm a native Indian or something. My nationality would be British, which is different from ethnicity. Do you see?
Yes. Soon, I will have a US passport though seeing that my father is from California. So, I'll have a dual passport making my nationality British/American. Also means that if the US enter World War III, I could get drafted!!! OK, maybe not. Think it breaks international law anyway, seeing that I'm a British resident.
Yup.

You didn't know there was a New York accent?! New York city accent, I, myself, have a mixed British accent on only a few words. Like Pants. I saw Pawnts. Or something to that effect.
Yea... I get picked on a lot.... A WHOLE LOT. But lovingly... or thats what my gf tells me...
Yea, the new York Accent like, lengthens everything, and adds a tough guy approach. Watch CSI:NY in English, not German, and you'll understand it. Actually, come to think of it, i've never Watched CSI:NY...
Watch... a movie with NY in it, and you'll see. Its wierd... kinda like Boston accent, but not?
Understand?

Boston accent? No accent in 'Crossing Jordan.' Well I know people from the Mid-West speak 'kinda wired' and I once read one of Oni's (my GF's) role-playing source books called Deadlands, which takes place in the Wild West and uses 'Wild West accent.' Apart from that, didn't know you had any accents over their. Can you emphasize any movie, Revan? I mean one which heavily NY accent?

Hrm... any movie thats ever taken place in NY would have some sort of accent attached to one of its characters...
Ever seen a guido in a movie taking place in NY? Guido, is a stereotypical Italian. Usually they have them... Godfather isn't ripe in them, but there area few.

I'm usually reclusive on this subject but I think i just might share... Born and raised in Adelaide, South Australia. LAND OF THE FREE!!! Recently i had my head chewed off by some southerner 'American' because i called him a Yank... TO AUSTRALIANS, ALL AMERICANS ARE YANKS!!! And i really hate it, hate it when people start to stereotypicalize and say, G'Day mate! Lets throw another shrimp on the barbieThe worst thing about the Southerner-bloke whom i called a Yank, he said that he was surprised that an Australian could type as well as i because he got it in his right-Bloody-mind that watching Crocodile-Dundee (Which just so happened to be on TV last night) informs the uneducated all you need to know about the Australian culture. The closest thing you'll find like that would be far out into central Australia or the 'Outback' as everyone loves to call it who's not Aussie, a bloke like Mick Dundee would be some kind of deranged wildlife ranger who's last drink of water was more days back than he could count on his fingers; that is if he could do Math at all... There we go, the very first time I've expressed my personal opinion like that in full detail... A Right-Bloody-Royal-Waste of your time, i'm sure If there is anything that you want to know about the ture Australian culture, just ask. But if i even hear one Stereo-typing crack on us Aussies then i'll use my literacy to ram a lightsabre up your @$$ so far that you'll be coughing up sparks
